Little League Volunteer Opportunities *Annual
background checks will be done per Little League requirements on our
volunteers
Executive Board of Directors (All
are
volunteers) : President,
Vice President of Baseball, Vice President of Softball, Secretary, and Treasurer
Elected Board of Directors: – consists of the
President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, and other elected board
members (Greece
has 17 elected board members)

Attend monthly Board meetings. Run the Greece Little League
Inc. organization operations.
Commissioner:

Board Approved Manager:

Liaison between the Greece Little League Board of Directors
and Commissioner for
the team.

Must attend clinics for training.

He/she is responsible for the
team, conduct of the team & team parents, team equipment, and line-up.

Tournament tryouts if held for that division.

Board Approved Coach: Assist the manager whenever possible.
Board Approved Assistant Coach: Assists the Coach and manager whenever
possible.
Scorekeeper: Keep score for the team. Check with
the other scorekeeper periodically to verify scores and pitch count (if
applicable).
Pitch counter for baseball: Keep track of pitches (for baseball
only) and give to scorekeeper.
Team Parent:

Work with the team parents in getting
information to them for the manager.

Make sure there is enough to staff the
concession stand for the assigned time.

Remind parents to frequent the website
for updates, team photo day
-
Collect money for Red Wing tickets to be
purchased at the GLL concession stand when they go on sale.
Team Sponsor: Receives name on team photo, website
listing and listing at complex.
Concession Manager. The Concession Manager shall:
- Organize the purchase of concession products
- Maintain the operation of concession facilities
- Be responsible for the management of the concession sales at League events
- Schedule volunteers to work the concession stand during League events
- Collect and review concession related offers including coupons, discounts
and bulk-purchasing opportunities
- Organize, tally and keep records of concession sales an purchases.
Monroe County Certified Concession Stand Supervisor: Instruct/oversee below
concession stand workers.
Concession Stand: EVERY TEAMS Responsibility to do their

Security cart driver (MUST have driver’s license to operate). Does
security of the complex and assists elderly/disabled transportation to fields.

Concession cart driver (MUST have driver’s license to operate). Assist
with security control; hawk concession items to al fields; assist with waste
removal at end of evening; assist in checking/emptying trash receptacles when
required.

Cash register operator (preferably an adult)

Grill cook (must be adult)

Adult to operate popcorn machine, microwave and coffee maker

Assistant to remove cold items from cooler (may be player)

Assistant to give customer items purchased (may be player)

Field Maintenance: Help keep the complex clean and
prepare the fields for games.
Fundraising: Assist in ideas and work on league
building and development goals.
Fundraising /Sponsorship Manager (s):

Organize an implement approved league fundraising
activities

Be responsible for gaining participatio9n in fundraising
activities

Solicit and secure local sponsorships to support league
operations

Collect and review sponsorship and fundraising
opportunities

Maintain records of monies secured through sponsorship and
fundraising initiatives
Guardian Angel: Assist our mentally and physically
challenged players play baseball Sat mornings
Mailing: Prepare mailing with postage and labels
for delivery to PO
Parking Attendant: Opening day for divisions and
other heavy expected events during the course of the season.
Special Events: Assist in planning and working on
events such as Tournaments.
Telephone: Contact team parents to verify coverage
of concession stand and any other league functions.
Volunteer Recruiter: Recruit volunteers during the
year.
Umpire: For our league games; attend umpire
clinic; file necessary paperwork.
