 DIVISIONS
Registration Information:
For youth ages 5-18 yrs of age as of Dec 31,
2007 for softball who reside in the Town
of Greece or Village of Charlotte.
2008 Age Chart
Softball T-Ball
Instructional program for girls ages 5 & 6.
- The players hit off the tee. They use an incrediball (the
hardness of a tennis ball).
- Tuesday and Thursday nights during the
week for the months of May and June.
- You must provide your child
with a glove.
Softball Rookies
Instructional program for girls ages 7 & 8.

This coach pitch program does travel
to surrounding towns

Uses an 11-inch softball.

Practices start in April with two games a
week scheduled using a Mon/Wed or Fri evening for the months of May and June.

You must provide your child with a glove.
Minor Softball
Instructional program for girls 9 & 10.

We travel to surrounding towns using and
11-inch softball.

Practice starts in April with actual games starting in May and running til the end of
June.

Two games a week are scheduled using Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings-subject to
weather.

Local & District Tournaments are in July/beg of August.

You must provide your child with a glove and white baseball pants.
Major Softball
For girls 11 & 12 years of age.

There are standings in this division

12-inch softball along with travel to
surrounding towns.

Practice starts in April with games starting in May and running to the end of June. Two
games a week are scheduled using Tuesday/Thursday evenings or Saturday - subject to
weather and field availability.

Local & District tournaments are in July/beg of August

You must provide your player with her own glove and white baseball pants.
Senior Softball
For girls ages 13 to 16.

This travel fast-pitch program uses a 12-inch softball.

Subject to field availability two
games a week are scheduled using a Sunday/Tues or Thurs format.

In July/beg of August there are local & district tournaments for ages 13 & 14; and
14-16 (placement is dependent on age).

You must provide your child
with a glove and baseball pants or shorts (team decision).
Big Softball
For girls 14 thru 18 years of age.

This fast-pitch program also travels to surrounding
towns using the 12-inch softball.

Starting in May with scheduled games on the weekend; June using a Monday/Wednesday/Fri
schedule, when possible (this avails any conflict with school ball)

Local & District Tournaments are in July/beg. of August and dependent on age and not
division played during the season.
Softball tournament
age breakdowns are 9&10; 10& 11; 11&12; 13-14; 14-16 and
14-18. Dependent
on age and not division played during the season.
You must provide your child with her own glove and baseball pants or shorts
(team decision).
Even split with home/away games when
possible. All dates and times are subject to
